Services
Painting (Acrylic or Watercolour)
Join a playful painting session where you can follow along step-by-step to recreate a chosen artwork, perfect for beginners! I also offer guided portrait painting, where you’ll create a fun and expressive portrait of your friend or partner.
Want something more personal? I can customise the workshop to suit your theme, style, or group, including selecting your own inspirational image to paint from.
You can choose between acrylic or watercolour painting, each offering its own unique techniques and feel.
Kids: 1-hour session
Adults: 2-hour session (or 2h30 for portrait painting)
Air-Dry Clay
Get your hands into it! In this workshop, I teach two simple sculpting techniques: pinch pot and coil building. You'll create a small object or shape using air-dry clay, no kiln needed.
After 5 days of drying at home, your piece is ready to paint and personalise. It's a lovely intro to clay and a relaxing, hands-on experience.
Kids: 1-hour session
Adults: 1.5-hour session
Animation
In this 2-hour workshop, we bring characters and stories to life using Play-Doh, paper cut-outs, or your own handmade props.
We use a simple app called Stop Motion Studio to animate your creations frame by frame, perfect for budding filmmakers or anyone curious about animation.
Suitable for kids aged 7+ and adults
Great for schools, birthday parties, or creative events
upcoming workshops
Join us at Perry Hill Pub for a 2-hour creative and beginner-friendly Mediterranean Glass Painting workshop inspired by sunny coastlines, hand-painted ceramics, lemons, and sea-inspired patterns.
In this relaxed session, you’ll design and paint your own glass goblet using vibrant colours and Mediterranean-inspired motifs. From citrus branches and waves to tile patterns and organic shapes, each piece will be completely unique — a functional artwork to take home and enjoy.
No experience is needed — I’ll guide you step by step, and all materials are provided.
Come along for a cosy and creative evening, enjoy a drink, and leave with your own beautifully hand-painted glass.

Time: 19:00 - 21:00
When: Wednesday 3rd June

PORTRAIT MODE lands at Bussey Rooftop Bar on Wednesday 10 June.
A rooftop painting workshop for people who’ve never painted before, people who definitely think they could paint, and people just here for the cocktails.
Artist Jess DSO will guide you through creating your own colourful portrait using acrylic paints - whether that’s your partner, best mate, situationship, dog, or yourself if you’re feeling brave.
Come with your person and paint each other, or bring along a photo to work from. No experience needed whatsoever - just settle in with a drink, some music, rooftop views and see what happens.
All materials are included, and you’ll head home with your own finished masterpiece (or at the very least, something iconic).

I'm Jess DSO — a Swiss-Portuguese artist, educator, and workshop host based in East London. I studied at UAL’s Chelsea College of Arts, and now teach in schools, pubs, and local venues.
Whether I'm running animation clubs in primary schools or hosting paint-and-sip evenings in local pubs, my goal is always the same: to bring people together through colour, creativity, and connection.
In my workshops, everyone is welcome, from curious beginners to seasoned creatives. I believe art should feel joyful, human, and accessible.
HOW IT WORKS
“Our group of 4 had a fantastic experience today. Our tutor Jess was so helpful. She explained everything thoroughly and made the class fun. The instructions were easy to understand. I would highly recommend.”
